Summer is here and finally we are leaving for vacation!
For those who are constantly on a diet, an internal dialogue will automatically emerge that will lead to inner conflict:
"Summer is finally here, I don't want to be on a diet anymore, I want to relax and enjoy the holidays, the aperitifs, the evening outings, and try the typical local dishes. But this way I will undo everything I have done and lose the progress I have made."
Does this sentence sound familiar?
You spend a winter focused on the "bikini test" and then you lose the habits that had become regular by allowing yourself too many slip-ups on vacation, only to start bloating day by day with consequences that are also psychological such as frustration, guilt, looking in the mirror and not liking yourself, decreased self-esteem.
Why reach these drastic consequences?
Here are some practical and useful tips:
-
Keep lunch light! If you decide to spend the whole day at the beach, in the morning prepare fresh and quick things to take with you (rice salad, pasta with vegetables, cold main courses). If instead you stay at a hotel, opt for packed lunches (yogurt, fruit, fresh vegetables like fennel, cucumbers, carrots, big salads).
-
In the evening (but not every evening) treat yourself to some indulgence or typical local dishes, without ever overdoing it.
Don't lose control: allow yourself the pleasure but without overdoing it.
